On October 17, 2024, the first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Ghana took place in Dushanbe.

Sides discussed issues related to the current state and prospects for development of cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of tourism, science and strengthening the legal basis, partnership in the framework of international organizations and other issues of common interest.
At the end of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana on Bilateral political consultations has been signed.
